Join us in the discussion of Disappearing Earth, by Julia Philips.

We meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. This is an in person event.

Summary of this month's book: "One August afternoon, on the shoreline of the Kamchatka peninsula at the northeastern edge of Russia, two sisters, eight and eleven, go missing. In the ensuing months the police investigation turns up nothing. Echoes of the disappearance reverberate across a tightly woven community, with the fear and loss felt most deeply among its women. Connected by the crime: a witness, a neighbor, a detective, a mother. Social and ethnic tensions have long simmered in the region, and outsiders are often the first to be accused..."

To take part in the discussion, please register for this event. You should receive an email confirming your participation and another email closer to the event with a link if you choose to join us virtually.

*Books are available at the Cloverdale Library.
