Beginning Readers Welcome!

Practice reading with a 4PAWS certified therapy dog to improve reading skills and confidence.

Do you want to volunteer at the library? Every Thursday we offer a weekly drop-in volunteer hours from 3:30pm-5:30pm, where teen volunteers assist with library programs. Come and earn one or two hours of volunteer service!

Join us at Lego & Build Club for hands on engineering, problem solving exercises, and play using age-appropriate materials. Younger siblings are welcome to attend and use our collection of Duplo bricks.

Join us for Bilingual Stories in English and Spanish for children ages 0-5.

This program will be held at the Healdsburg Community Center, Room 4.

Join us for this fun yoga class designed for children ages 2-9 and their parent/caregiver. Classes are conducted in Spanish and English. Led by Sara Gagnon. Free! Pre-register online to receive a reminder email.

Meet with a tech savvy staff member to ask your tech questions. This is your opportunity to find answers and learn about a wide variety of things, like how to download library eBooks or watch movies on your tablet and more.

Kids and teens fostering a love of reading—together!

Book Buddies is for kids in grades K-3 and takes place at the Healdsburg Elementary School Library Learning Commons. 

Session 1: 3PM-3:30PM
Session 2: 3:45PM-4:15PM

A safe and inclusive place for LGBTQIA+ teens (and allies) to connect, de-stress, and talk about books. Snacks, tea and hot chocolate provided!

Finding History Day 2024 - a celebration of Sonoma County's unique past

Join over 30 local historical and cultural organizations and explore the rich historical heritage of the region!

Herbs add so much flavor to our meals!  Expand your use of fresh and dried herbs and learn how to safely preserve your fresh herbs to enjoy all year.  Making herb salts, rubs and pestos will be demonstrated.

Enjoy a selection of Latin American baroque music with Gail Hernández Rosa and Daniel Turkos as they explore the interrelationships between composed and traditional folk music.

Come and read aloud to the dogs of the Humane Society of Sonoma County. These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories! Children build confidence in their reading skills by reading aloud in a safe space.
