Join the Children's Librarian and other families in the community room for stories, rhymes, songs, games and simple crafts. Be prepared to wiggle, learn and have fun!

Join us every week for a fun, interactive session of stories and songs in English and Spanish! Appropriate for children ages 0-5 and their families. We look forward to seeing you!

Join your local librarian in singing, reading, and playing together to build early literacy skills and a joy of reading, then stay for crafts!

NOVEMBER Let’s Talk English Conversation Classes on WEDNESDAYS 11:00 – 12:30 pm 

First Class Meets: November 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US and Canada) 

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 11am for Babytime, with Sonoma Valley Library's Children's Librarian!

Learn the ancient Asian exercise form to promote balance, relaxation, motion, health, harmony, stability, and inner power.  

Learn how to showcase your family-friendly (G/PG) photos, videos, podcasts, music, and other audio/video creations on Sonoma County Library’s cable access television channel and YouTube page. 

Explore games on the Nintendo Switch or play Roblox on one of the laptops available for gaming in our Cloverdale meeting room. Children younger than teenagers can play computer games or board games after school on Wednesdays.

What is a digital story? A digital story is a narrated slideshow or movie that you voice over with your own personal story or poem.

Come and read out loud to the dogs of PALS (Paws as Loving Support). These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories in English and Spanish.

Children build confidence in their reading skills by reading aloud in a safe space.

Drop by the After School Hang Out to study, play games, or just chill with your peers! Laptops and board games will be available to use. For Grades 6-12.

Play games, hang out, eat snacks, and have fun! Join other teens to play games on the Nintendo Switch

Game On! is a videogame meetup for students in grades 7-12. Join other teens and tweens to play board games and Nintendo Switch. Snacks provided!

All ages welcome!

No experienced necessary. Some instruction available.  Play, learn and enjoy!

Welcome to our Read to a Dog Program

Come and read out loud to the dogs of PALS (Paws as Loving Support). These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories in English and Spanish. 

Do you want to volunteer at the library? Every Wednesday we offer a weekly drop-in volunteer hours from 4:00pm - 6:00pm, where teen volunteers assist with library programs. Come and earn one or two hours of volunteer service!

Design and create your own personalized wood ornaments featuring cherished photos in this DIY workshop. Learn how to transfer images onto wood for a rustic, heartfelt decoration perfect for gifting or keepsakes.

In this interactive sensory experience, young creators will explore a variety of textures, shapes, and materials as they design and craft their very own sensory boards to take home.

Learn technical skills and use quality beading materials to make—and take home!—a pair of drop dangle earrings. All supplies included. Grades 7-12.

Make collaged coasters! Snacks provided. For grades 7-12.
