Program Description

Celebrating Latin American Roots

Join us in celebrating Latin American roots during National Hispanic Heritage Month—and beyond! Check out our recommended books, movies, music, and free events—including bilingual and all-ages activities!

Details

We will create a mini piñata sculpture of a pineapple and learn various piñata making techniques along the way. This workshop will also focus on using readily available recyclable items like cardboard and paper and giving these ordinary things a new purpose. 

Join Patty Botello as she shares her love for sculpture through traditional piñata making! Recommended for ages 5 & up. 

Supplies List:

1. Cardboard box or cereal cardboard box

2. Heavy duty tape

3. Pencil

4. Scissors

5. Glue stick

6. Yellow crepe paper streamer

7. Green tissue paper

8. Jute twine or string approximately 24” long

9. Piñata template (printable)
