Healdsburg Jazz is thrilled to once again commemorate the birthday and legacy of poet and author Dr. Maya Angelou. The event will feature:
- Acotcja (A-va-cha), poet and percussionist
- Ella Wen, Sonoma County Youth Poet Laureate
- Enid Prickett, Healdsburg Jazz Poet Laureate
- Live music performance by Alto Saxophonist Phil Vieux
- Bassist and Healdsburg Jazz Artistic Director Marcus Shelby
Additionally, there will be an open mic session for anyone attending the event. Join us to delve into Maya's poems and remarkable achievements!
