In her latest book, Straitjackets and Lunch Money (2023), journalist and author Katya Cengel describes her time being institutionalized as a ten-year old for an eating disorder. She will be discussing her book with eating disorder specialist Sally Dazango, MD. The two will explore what eating disorder treatment looks like now versus the 1980s, discuss the impact both the disorder and treatment have on patients, and share resources for the community to learn more.
