Sebastopol Regional Library is delighted to showcase Linda Kammer's exhibit of layers of watercolor on paper with graphite paintings from the garden November 21, 2023 to January 18, 2024.

Words from artist Linda Kammer:

"A few years ago my dear husband was diagnosed with dementia. It filled me with grief. So. To hold the grief, I began this series of paintings from my garden. From my surroundings. From what I could see from where I was. I thought the paintings would be filled with dark murky shapes and meaning. I was and am surprised. The joy of loving well. The joy of plants. Of flowers. Of a few old vases. The generosity of family, neighbors, friends. The ever present squabble of birds. A life well loved."

The public is welcome to meet the artist and enjoy refreshments December 16, 2023 from 3:30 - 5:30pm.
