Program Description

Details

Join Petaluma for four virtual sessions on the works of Meredith Gran - she wrote and led the development of a PC game called Perfect Tides and has written a graphic novel series titled Octopus Pie. Gran's work covers American womanhood from adolescence through late 20's and 30's. Over these four sessions, we will talk about being a woman in America, and related intersectional identities through the discussion of Gran's work. The first 8 people to register will receive a free Steam key for Perfect Tides as well free copies of  vols. 2 & 3 of Octopus Pie. At the last session on October 18th, Meredith Gran will join us for a live Q&A!

This program is suitable for ages 14 and up. For folks who are interested in the PC game but who do not have the time to play it, we will provide a link to a Let's Play video, which will allow patrons to view the PC game being played in order to engage with the content. In addition a live session of gameplay will be scheduled over Discord where patrons can view a library stream of the game.
