Biblioteca regional de Windsor
Before 1991 residents of the Windsor area had to rely on the Healdsburg Regional Library or the Northwest and Central Libraries in Santa Rosa if they wanted library service. In 1991 the Sonoma County Library began providing bookmobile service one day a week via a stop at the Lakewood Village Shopping Center. Bookmobile service was expanded in 1994 when the bookmobile was located on a site adjacent to the Windsor Town Hall. Serving as an interim branch, it was open Wednesday through Saturday for service to the public. In 1996, when the Town of Windsor offices moved to a nearby building, the existing Town Hall building was renovated to house the Windsor Regional Library. The new full service branch library at the edge of the Town Green was dedicated on Nov. 3 1996 and has faithfully served the people of Windsor and surrounding areas ever since.
