Preschool Storytime (Ages 3-6)

Preschool Storytime is designed for children ages 3-6 years. Siblings Welcome.   Listen and learn with stories, songs, movement, and FUN, as you nurture in your preschooler a love of books. These fun librarian-led storytimes will model the everyday practices -- talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing -- that help your child get ready to read.

In these storytimes, we can share stories, songs, and fingerplays with more complex plots, and activities with both directed and expressive movement. Librarians will still be reinforcing and modeling the use of early literacy skills and learning activities for parents to share with their children.

This storytime will be held on the patio near the back of library. Please park strollers in the Meeting Room before joining us outside. 

La hora de cuentos preescolares está diseñada para niños de 3 a 6 años de edad. Hermanos Bienvenidos. Escuche y aprenda con cuentos, canciones, movimiento y DIVERSIÓN, mientras fomenta en su niño en edad preescolar el amor por los libros. Estos divertidos cuentos dirigidos por bibliotecarias modelarán las prácticas cotidianas (hablar, cantar, leer, escribir y jugar) que ayudan a su hijo a prepararse para leer.

En las horas de cuentos, podemos compartir cuentos, canciones y juegos de dedos con tramas más complejas y actividades con movimiento tanto dirigido como expresivo. Los bibliotecarios seguirán reforzando y modelando el uso de habilidades de alfabetización temprana y actividades de aprendizaje para que los padres las compartan con sus hijos. 

Estaremos en el patio, cerca de la parte trasera de la biblioteca.  Estacionen sus carritos en la sala de reuniones antes de unirse a nosotros en el exterior.
