Book Buddies is for kids in grades K-3 and takes place at the Healdsburg Elementary School Library Learning Commons. 

Session 1: 3PM-3:30PM
Session 2: 3:45PM-4:15PM

This program is intended for beginning readers. 

Practice reading with a 4PAWS certified therapy dog to improve reading skills and confidence. 

Celebrate the rich cultural traditions of West Africa with local educator Tyehimba Kokayi! Explore engaging rhythms, songs, and energetic dance moves. Recommended for grades K-6. This event will take place in Room 4.

Preserve personal and family narratives with poet and musician Nicolás R. Valdez! From storytelling to group movement exercises, Valdez will demonstrate and guide you through the power of performance art.

Join us for tea, sit in circle, and share the joys and struggles of motherhood. All are welcome, pregnancy through postpartum & mothers in all stages. Everyone gets a chance to share. 

We offer Homework Help to students in grades K-12 on Tuesdays from 3:30PM -5:30PM at the library. 

There's a whole world of inspiring illustrations to be found inside children's picture books.

Use children's books and their illustrations to get back to the joy and freedom of art making.

Decorate a wooden photo frame using paint, scrabble tiles, and paint pens. All materials provided.

Keep your body and mind healthy with chair yoga! Suitable for all ages and abilities, including those with chronic illness or pre/post-surgery injuries. No experience necessary—just wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to move.
