For Children and Families 

Family Day at Weill Hall + Grounds at the Green Music Center runs from 12:30 – 5:00 with food trucks, workshops by local artists, and a variety of activities led by Sonoma State education students for children of all ages.

Come and read aloud to the dogs of the Humane Society of Sonoma County. These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories! Children build confidence in their reading skills by reading aloud in a safe space. 

Spark your creativity at Melita’s Musical Playtime, an interactive show for kids (2-8) and families! Enjoy fun songs, lively guitar, joyful movement and dance, and silly puppets.

Welcome to our Read to a Dog Program at the Sonoma Valley Library!

This event is for beginning readers. 

Practice reading aloud with Sammy, a golden retriever with Paws as Loving Support (PALS). Young readers will need to come about 10 minutes before 4:00 to sign up for a reading time during the hour that Sammy is here.

When you register and arrive at the library for the First Chapter Book Club, Librarian Serena will have copies of the book we will read and a snack. Children can read aloud, read along, or just listen and enjoy.

Join us every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm for fun family evening storytime (for ages 0-7)
