Welcome to the Takeout Book Club! (or, as the librarians are fondly referring to it, the Book Club Formerly Known as Brown Bag).

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM as we discuss a different contemporary novel or work of nonfiction.

This month we will be discussing Homeland Elegies by Ayad Akhtar. This is "a deeply personal work about identity and belonging in a nation coming apart at the seams, Homeland Elegies blends fact and fiction to tell an epic story of longing and dispossession in the world that 9/11 made. Part family drama, part social essay, part picaresque novel, at its heart it is the story of a father, a son, and the country they both call home." -taken from publisher

Copies of Homeland Elegies are available in the branch one month prior to the discussion. Feel free to call the library or email Simone with any questions.

Discussions will happen in person in the Fourm Room as well as virtually.
