Program Description

Details

Join us for the 11:00am launch of our newest StoryWalk in Petaluma with a romp through the Daily Acts/Sculpture Garden to an movement filled reading of "Winter Dance" by Marion Dane Bauer. We will read the story and do activities as we progress from page to page through the garden (on the Payran Street side of the library).

This event is outside and will be canceled in the event of rain.

StoryWalk is an innovative and interactive way for readers of all ages to enjoy a story and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s picture book are displayed on special display posts along an outdoor path in a park, garden, or other outdoor setting.  As participants walk along the path, they will be directed to the next pages in the story.  StoryWalks engage young readers and are a great way to practice active reading skills with special activities highlighted along the story.

The StoryWalk pages will stay up for the next few months, so young readers and their families can return and enjoy it on their own whenever they want.
