Read to a Dog

Come and read out loud to the dogs of PALS (Paws as Loving Support). These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories in English and Spanish. 

Working with collage, ink and markers, create a beautiful art journal to take home.  For teens in grades 7-12. Advance registration required.

Build a custom LEGO maze for your HexBug, or marble, and race to the finish line! 

For tweens in grades 4-6. Advance registration required.

Enjoy award-winning films and lively college-level discussions led by an OLLI professor from SSU.

Welcome to our Read to a Dog Program

This event is for beginning readers to build confidence by reading a story to a dog!

Join us as a beginner or an experienced knitter who wants to learn new techniques, make new friends, and help other students.

Free, weekly in-person citizenship tutoring to support participants preparing for the English US Naturalization Exam. Participate in mock interviews, practice English writing and reading skills, and review the 100 civic questions.

Follow along with step-by-step instructions in Spanish and English to learn painting skills and practice new vocabulary.

Read, sing, play, move and learn at storytime! Open to all families with children 0-6 years old. Registration is not required, but feel free to register for the series to receive an email reminder before each session. 

The doRiaN Mode explores the Great American Songbook as it dishes up vintage jazz and swinging R&B, from the sassy sounds of 1920s speakeasies and 1930s big-band swing to 1940s jump blues and the rollicking R&B of Ruth Brown.
