Welcome to our Read to a Dog Program at the Sonoma Valley Library!
This event is for beginning readers.
Join us on Sunday, March 24th from 2-3pm and Adopt a Reading Buddy for Paws to Read Month!
Come 'adopt' a stuffed animal as your Reading Buddy or bring your own and make some crafts to celebrate pets and reading!
If the room meets maximum capacity, we will admit entrance on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kits are available on a first come, first served basis. While supplies last. Limit one per patron.
Read to a Dog
Come and read out loud to the dogs of PALS (Paws as Loving Support). These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories in English and Spanish.
Come and read aloud to the dogs of the Humane Society of Sonoma County. These well-trained dogs love to listen to stories! Children build confidence in their reading skills by reading aloud in a safe space.
Advance registration encouraged, but not required, in order to receive an email reminder about the event. Walk-ins welcome!
Children 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or childcare provider.
Weather and Air Quality may result in postponement.
In this beginning relief printmaking workshop, learn to use a linoleum tool to quickly carve a drawing and make a unique mini print out of a soft rubber block.

Home Cook Salome Arenas returns to guide you in making hand made tortillas and preparing salsa in a molcajete. The class will be using tortilla pressers and induction cooktops. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
This event is in Spanish with an English interpreter.
