Are you researching your ancestors from Sonoma County, or are you interested in its rich and fascinating history? Join us for a virtual exploration of lesser-known genealogical resources offered by Sonoma County's unique libraries, historical societies and genealogical organizations. Learn how to utilize free reference tools, such as the Sonoma Searcher surname directory, and discover how index books for court, probate, indigent and other cases can help to locate county records. Whether you are just starting out or already deep into your research, you are bound to uncover some hidden gems along the way!

Cindy Brennan has been an avid family history researcher for over 20 years after discovering a photograph of her husband's family from 1899. Since 2009, she has served as the editor of the Sonoma County Genealogy Society's monthly newsletter. Her ongoing research and publication of numerous articles have fueled her desire to share her findings through presentations for other genealogists and family historians.
