Details

Join the Sonoma County History & Genealogy Library at an in-person presentation on Saturday, April 29 from 10-11am. We are thrilled to host genealogist and former library commissioner, Melissa Kelley, for a presentation of her family history research at the Rincon Valley Regional Library meeting room.

Melissa Kelley moved to San Francisco in 1991 and began a 30-year adventure of researching her mother's California pioneer history. From Migrants to Mermaids, a coffee table book produced with Santa Rosa-based Personal History Productions, tells her family's story - from cattle rustlers to cattle ranchers, gold miners to gold diggers.

Melissa will talk about some of her most interesting women ancestors and highlight family history resources and strategies that may prove useful to other researchers.
