At the April 30 event, professional and youth artists, illustrators, and graphic novelists will display and sell their work in the Artists’ Alley. Popular culture enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to wear cosplay (costumes) for maximum fun. Teens and children can participate in the cosplay competition.

Attendees can try LARPing (Live Action Role Play), enjoy crafting for kids, check out the Sonoma County Library BiblioBus stocked with graphic novels and comics, draw their own comics, meet Star Wars characters from the 501st and Rebel Legions, and more.

LumaCON! is a community celebration of creativity, literacy, and popular culture, put on by the public and the school libraries of Petaluma. Check out lumacon.net for more details.
