Windsor LAB Special Meeting

1.    CONVENING & INTRODUCTIONS

Present: Judy Gerstle, Vinode (Vin) Mahraj, Eleanor McFarlin, and Mike Neely

None.

3.    DISCUSSION ITEMS

       3.1.  UPDATE ON BOOKS PURCHASED WITH FY 23/24 LAB FUNDS

LAB was provided with an update on books purchased. Books have arrived and are ready to be handed out during outreach events.

      3.2.  DISCUSS FY 24/25 LAB FUNDS

LAB discussed ideas for spending LAB funds, including purchasing more books for outreach. 

      3.2.  IDENTIFY DATES AND EVENTS TO PROVIDE OUTREACH

LAB discussed ideas for locations to provide outreach, including shopping centers, parks. Potential for collaborating with other community organizations. Boys and Girls Club.  

4.    ACTION ITEMS

       4.1.  OUTLINE NEXT STEPS FOR OUTREACH AND CREATE PLAN 

Action steps: contacting Presbyterian church, Palms shopping center, Parks and Rec, Thursday Night concert series, and PTA and/or WUSD. Neely to draft new survey to present at upcoming meeting.
