The Disaster Preparation 101 workshop is designed to answer two very important questions:

Why should I prepare for a disaster?

What can I do to be better prepared?

During a disaster or emergency every second matters and being prepared can make all the difference. Through an interactive presentation and hands-on activities each participant will learn 5 simple steps that they can take to ensure that they and their loved ones are safe during a disaster. Workshop participants will walk away with the knowledge necessary to:

1)  Get alerts to know what to do

2)  Make a plan to protect your people

3)  Pack a Go Bag with the things you need

4)  Build a Stay Box for when you can't leave

5)  Help friends and neighbors get ready

Each participant will receive 3-days worth of disaster ready meals, and the first 10 participants will also receive a free weather alert radio! Registration is encouraged, but not required.
