Claiming Justice: on the trail of local stories

Join Kristen Throop, the Santa Rosa Public Art Program and Creative Sonoma, for a celebration of a new walking trail  through downtown Santa Rosa which links portraits of 14 local activists with audio descriptions of their lives. 

This public art commission was created by Kristen Throop and sponsored by the Santa Rosa Art Public Art Program and Creative Sonoma.

The launch event on Sunday, October 29 at 1 pm at the Central Santa Rosa Library will feature a discussion panel of five of the activists being honored, as well as special guests. At the conclusion of the event at the library, there will be an artist-led walking tour of the project through downtown Santa Rosa. Each attendee will receive a commemorative button featuring the portrait of one of the activists being honored.
