Program Description

Details

We celebrate "Be Who You Are Day" every September 30th, featuring the books of queer children's author Todd Parr. Librarians will read aloud from some favorites by Parr, author of over 60 books for kids, such as It's OK to be Different and The Family Book.

Todd Parr has said of his work, "Children and families...need to see themselves reflected in books in fun, silly, and reassuring ways."

Costumes are encouraged!

This event will be held in the Children's Area while the Friends of the Rohnert Park-Cotati Library set up the Flores Room for the Autumn 2024 Book Sale.
