The Asian Art Museum presents: Gorgeous Lacquerware

Lacquerware has been a treasured luxury item for thousands of years throughout Asia. High-quality lacquer is precious because of the skill, time, and expense required to produce it. Over the centuries, lacquer has been worked in a variety of ways that are functional, protective, and beautiful. Revel in some of the gorgeous lacquer items from the Asian Art Museum’s collection.
