Art Show: Reverberations

Sebastopol Regional Library is delighted to showcase Chiaroscuro Art Group’s art, Reverberations, May 30, 2024, through July 20, 2024.

Barbara (Babette) Kemler works in a large format creating figures with vibrant colors always on a black background. The figures evoke a range of emotions from pathos to serenity. Emily Florence works in a smaller format creating saturated watercolors and monoprints embellished with collage. Babette ad Emily have formed a group, Chiaroscuro Art Group, where vignettes are created combining one large piece with several smaller pieces, a blending of divergent styles into an unexpected and aesthetic experience. Reverberations are reflections of sounds after sounds are produced. It is the artists’ hope that echoes of the creative energy in this show will linger.

The public is welcome to meet the artists on June 15, 2024 from 3:30-5:30pm and enjoy refreshments, conversation, and art.
