A Virtual Teen Self-care Discussion with SAY
In this weekly virtual club, we discuss books, movies, tv, podcasts, and news stories that raise social justice issues of interest to teens. Each month there will be a different theme, and attendees can select media that fits that theme based on librarians' recommendations or choose their own. This club is a great way to meet other teens, discover new perspectives, and talk about important issues.
Today, join the Sonoma County Library and SAY for a discussion on teen self-care in a quickly changing world. Learn about strategies for general mental wellness. Also learn about SAY's individual and group support via telehealth for youth grieving a death or other major loss. SAY's Grief Services works with youth across Sonoma County, and also offers educational presentations to parents, teachers, and caregivers about how to support young people who are grieving. These services are available at no cost to individual school sites and agencies in the community. Please join us for a very special hour during which you can learn more about wellness strategies, and services available to the teens of Sonoma county courtesy of SAY.
Registration with an email is required. have a piece of paper and drawing materials ready when you join the Zoom session. You will receive the necessary Zoom information 30 minutes before the session starts.
