How Petaluma led by its first woman mayor, Helen Putnam, battled developers all the way to the Supreme Court to decide that question for the country in the 1970s. Petaluma Historian John Sheehy discusses the groundbreaking case that put Petaluma on the map with the slow-growth movement.
