Author Talk: Jeane Slone - Historical Novels

Join local author Jeane Slone for a reading and and presentation about her new book: She Was An American Combat Nurse During World War II. 

Through opposing chapters, this historical book allows readers to compare and contrast the experiences of two strong, dedicated, and skilled nurses in the face of combat danger, human suffering, and discrimination. This book portrays keen historical depictions of the era with narrative and photographs that deftly convey the experience and impact of segregation both in general society and in the Armed Forces. 

About the Author: 

Jeane Slone is a member of the Pacific Coast Air Museum, Santa Rosa, CA, a 15-year member of Redwood Writers Club, a branch of the California Writer’s Club and a member of the National Women’s History Alliance. Ms. Slone is the daughter of parents who both served in the Army during World War II. She has published five historical novels since 2007.
